Fluxbox is a stacking window manager for the X Window System with the aim to be lightweight. Its user interface has only a taskbar, a pop-up menu accessible by right-clicking on the desktop, and minimal support for graphical icons. All basic configurations are controlled by text files, including the construction of menus and the mapping of keybindings. Fluxbox has high compliance to the Extended Window Manager Hints specification. Fluxbox can show some eye candy: colors, gradients, borders, and several other basic appearance attributes can be specified. Fluxbox support rounded corners and graphical elements. More »

Wubi (Windows-based Ubuntu Installer) is an official Windows-based software installer for Ubuntu. The goal of Wubi is to assist a Windows user unacquainted with Linux in trying Ubuntu without risking any loss of information due to disk formatting or partitioning. Wubi can also uninstall Ubuntu from within Windows. It is not a virtual machine, but rather, it creates a stand-alone installation within a loopmounted device. It is not a Linux distribution of its own, but rather an installer for Ubuntu. Users interested in directly installing to a dedicated partition, like a standard Ubuntu install does, without needing a CD should use UNetbootin instead. More »
