BIRT Project

The Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) Project is an open source software that provides reporting and business intelligence capabilities for rich client and web applications, especially those based on Java and J2EE. BIRT is a top level software project within the Eclipse Foundation. The project’s stated goals are to address a wide range of reporting needs within a typical application, ranging from operational or enterprise reporting to multi-dimensional online analytical processing (OLAP). Subversion (SVN) is a version control system initiated in 1999 by CollabNet Inc. It is used to maintain current and historical versions of files such as source code, web pages, and documentation. Its goal is to be a mostly-compatible successor to the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS). Subversion is well-known in the open source community and is used on many open source projects, including Apache Software Foundation, Free Pascal, FreeBSD, GCC, Python, Django, Ruby, Mono, SourceForge.net, ExtJS, Tigris.org, and PHP.
